Privacy Policy
The short version: Hatch Board does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no ads. The app was built offline-first for canyons without cell service, and it treats your information the same way it treats your signal bars: it gets along fine without it.
What the app stores
Everything the app needs lives on your device: playbooks, fly patterns, artwork, and cached updates. None of it leaves your phone, and none of it is personal.
Network requests the app makes
Hatch Board makes exactly three kinds of network requests, none of which include personal information or identifiers:
- Streamflow readings are fetched from public government gauges (USGS Water Services and Colorado DWR). Those requests go directly to those public services and contain only the gauge being asked about.
- Playbook updates are fetched from our server about once a day. The request carries no account, identifier, or personal data. Our hosting provider (Render) keeps standard, short-lived server logs, which include the IP address any web request inherently carries; we add no logging of our own and cannot identify you from them.
- Fly pattern links open the manufacturer's public product page (umpqua.com) in your browser, only when you tap one. Their site is governed by their own privacy policy.
The support form on this site
If you contact us through the form on this website, the name, email address, and message you type are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-forwarding service. We use what you send solely to respond to you, we never sell or share it, and we delete it when the conversation is done.
Children
Hatch Board collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If the app ever changes what it touches, this page will change first, with a new effective date. Given the whole point of Hatch Board is working without a connection, do not expect drama here.
